Trophy Points: 172. 25xx is the only good choice here if you're aiming for CFW, 'cause if not, any 4xxx kicks every PS3 model's ass on the battlefield of performance. With the 25xx you have no crappy BD drives (like in 20xx or 21xx [currently trying to fix one of this]) and no NECs. It will need a delid someday.

I live in the Arizona deserts so dust often kills game consoles and electronics here. I blew through about a dozen PS2 Fats each lasted around 3 months and four PS2 Slims which lasted about 6 months each and my PS3 Super Slim is 6 months old right now and works just as good as it did when I first purchased it! ^_^

has an external memory slot. Nintendo Wii. Sony PlayStation 3 Super Slim 250GB. The device has a standard memory slot (such as an SD or micro SD card slot) that enables you to extend the built-in internal storage with affordable memory modules, or easily retrieve data, such as photographs, from the memory card.

The coolest & quietest Slim is the CECH-30xx (like 3001A); it has a 200W power supply, rather than the 230W or 250W supply of the earlier Slims. The Super Slims are the CECH-4xxx line; they have 190W power supplies. The one I have has a louder disc drive than either my Slim or Fat PS3s, but that might be coincidental.
Its still early days to really put a number on the super slims life span but I would hope it will last longer than the 6month to 2 year life spans of my fat and slim consoles. I would like to add a big **** you to Sony for their poor build quality and subsequent cover up of ps3's huge amount of issues.
Looked like the kid took it apart with a screwdriver, had plastic rattling around inside and it had scratches all over the bottom where he pried it apart. A month later I found a mint 250gb black superslim and that's what I'm using now. Gonna put HEN on the slim eventually once I get around to it. 2. SnooMuffin. bz4Ta.
